Welcome to AVITRON Community: Our World Begins With Us

Welcome, Avitronians! A virtual world begins with the people who give it life. That is why we are opening AVITRON Community before launching the AVITRON grid itself. This is our gathering place: somewhere to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new friends, share our creations, and help shape what comes next. We want friendships, conversations, and creative partnerships to begin growing now, so that when the virtual world opens, a community will already be waiting to call it home. WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY Create your profile Introduce yourself with a display name and biography. Visit your member dashboard to update your profile and manage your account, including available email and password settings. Share your world Publish community posts, upload photos and videos, like posts, and join conversations through replies. Explore what other members are creating and share your own ideas. Create groups and pages Bring people together around a shared interest, project, or community. Create a group or page, add a banner, and update or replace it as your space grows. Members can join groups and follow pages. Join the community chat Meet other members in our shared chat room. Before participating, members accept the chat rules, which encourage respectful conversation and prohibit spam and abusive behavior. Connect through private messages Click another member’s name to open their contact card and invite them to a private conversation. The recipient chooses whether to accept or decline. Private messaging begins only after acceptance, and members can end conversations, block unwanted contact, or report inappropriate messages. Read the AVITRON Journal and Grid News Follow official announcements, development updates, and community stories. Public journal articles can be read without registering and shared with others. Signed-in members can respond, ask questions, and join discussions when the administrator has enabled responses. Open a marketplace storefront Create a member store, personalize it with a banner, and publish item listings with images and descriptions. Storefronts and listings are available now; marketplace checkout and purchasing are coming soon. Explore the avatar collection Discover 27 starter-avatar concepts, browse their character pages, view full-body front and back artwork, and save your favorite through our roulette-style chooser. These are previews of our creative direction; playable, fully rigged in-world avatars are still to come. Preview the vision Explore our colorful concept map, discover imagined islands and sample parcels, and watch the AVITRON cinematic concept film. These experiences offer a glimpse of the world we hope to build together. A COMMUNITY BUILT ON RESPECT AVITRON Community is for adults aged 18 and over. We welcome creativity, different perspectives, and friendly discussion. We also expect members to respect one another and follow our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. Pornographic content, harassment, and spam have no place here. Moderation tools and chat reporting help us respond to problems and maintain a welcoming community. WHAT COMES NEXT The AVITRON OpenSimulator grid is not open yet. Entering the 3D world, using playable avatars, managing regions, buying or renting land, exchanging game funds, and requesting avatar partnerships are future features. Areas labeled “Coming soon” are previews of plans, rather than active services. The concept map does not currently offer land purchases or ownership. Our long-term goal is to connect this community website with the virtual world, bringing our social spaces and in-world experiences together. For now, the most valuable thing we can build is our community. Introduce yourself. Share something you love. Start a group. Invite a friend. Tell us what you would like AVITRON to become.
