Cookie & Browser Storage Policy
Effective October 14, 2026 · Version 2026-10-14.2
Chat preferences
Your browser can store the last community chat message you have read to show an unread count. Chat rules acceptance is saved to your AVITRON account so you do not need to accept again each time you sign in.
Essential authentication
The avitron_access cookie stores a session token for server authentication and expires after about one hour unless renewed. The avitron_logged_out cookie remembers an explicit logout for up to one year and is cleared on successful session synchronization. The avitron_chatgpt cookie records your explicit choice to continue with ChatGPT for up to one year and is cleared on logout. These cookies are Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax.
Local browser storage
Supabase stores session information in browser storage to maintain and refresh your login. The avitron-saved localStorage entry remembers saved post identifiers on your device until removed or browser storage is cleared. Hosting and sign-in providers may also use storage for their own access and security flows.
Optional tracking
The community application currently includes no optional advertising or analytics cookies. If optional tracking is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before activation.
Your controls
Use Log out to end your session, and your browser settings to clear cookies and local storage. Blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or saved-post features from working. Clearing browser storage does not delete your server-side account or posts.
